The Oz letters...last post 6/12/13

Margaret Cassar (Letters, 5/12), in defence of her position on the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement against Israel, indulges in sweeping generalisations and fails to answer the question -- why is she so selective in singling out Israel as the object of her wrath?
Peter O'Brien, Catalina, NSW
Here are some facts that Margaret Cassar would rather ignore. After Israel captured Gaza from Egypt and the West Bank from Jordan in a defensive war in 1967, it offered to return the captured land in exchange for peace. Arab states met in August 1967 and issued a resolution -- no peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel.
