Wow. I’ve documented in earlier
postings how senior journalists have forgiven in Julia Gillard a lie for which
they’d have crucified Tony Abbott, but at least they all acknowledged
Gillard had in some way been less than
honest.
But the Sydney
Morning Herald’s Ross Gittins not only fails to do
even that, but hails Gillard’s lie as an act of great
leadership:
