        Julia Gillard and her acolytes want to smear Tony Abbott as a misogynist. Yet they have failed to provide a shred of evidence to support this claim. I have never seen Tony Abbott exhibiting behaviour that suggests he hates women. In my dealings with him, I have found Abbott honourable, courteous and unfailingly gentlemanly in his conduct to women. Far from hating women, it is clear that Abbott likes women and loves his wife and family. Abbott is not a misogynist – he is a philogynist.
        By contrast, the extreme behaviour of Julia Gillard, Nicola Roxon, Tanya Plibersek and others suggest that they might be closet misandrists with a hatred of men.
        But beyond this, the extreme Greens exhibit misanthropy – a hatred of Homo sapiens.

        4. My own personal observation of the Left/Progressives is that they tend to reflect their own failures, inadequacies, issues and head-noises onto anyone they disagree with (most of the time, Conservatives).
          It’s an odd sort of observation, yet for me it seems to be proved over and over again. It’s like their own head-noises so consume and enshroud them that they see their own behaviour reflected elsewhere, even when it simply does not exist elsewhere. It’s almost as if they cannot conceive that other people might actually be rational, clearheaded and normal – and not share the neuroses of the inhabitants of irrational, emotional, Progressive-Lefty world.

        41. Let’s face facts. Regardless of his manners and niceness, Turnbull was a very unsuccessful Liberal leader, Boris. Whereas, to the surprise of many (including myself, I must admit), Abbott has been a wildly successful leader. He may not be particularly well-liked, but within days of assuming office, he pretty much single-handedly prompted Rudd into making a series of unforced errors and soon he found himself in a position where the elected PM’s stupid party thought it would be a good idea to throw him over for Gillard. Then the Abbott-led coalition narrowly lost an election that, going on past precedent, should have been an absolute cakewalk for the ALP – but only after forcing them into an alliance with the Greens which has proven to be so profoundly toxic that it’s not entirely unthinkable that the ALP might go the way of the UAP within a few years.
          The simple fact is that Abbott deserves the leadership of the party. Turnbull doesn’t.

        42. Malcolm Turnbull, for all his quality, is not the Liberal leader because his views on many issues, eg. climate change, the republic, gay marriage, etc, are too progressive. People who hold those views are more likely to vote for the Greens/Labor, than for the Coalition. That is why the Coalition trailed Labor in the polls while Turnbull was leader. Tony Abbott is a genuine conservative on social/environmental issues, which enthuses the Coalition base and gives people a reason to vote for him. He offers an alternative set of policy positions to the Greens/Labor status quo. This is the real reason (not his alleged misogyny) why the government and it’s supporters hate him so much and would prefer Malcolm Turnbull as Liberal leader.

        46. It’s easy to play the gender card when you have been lulled into thinking you are above criticism by a compliant media. The fact that the criticism of the Prime Minister has not been because she is a woman but because she is an incompetent Prime Minister is the issue here. As an avid reader of many newspapers and blogs I have noticed the greatest condemnation of the Prime Minister as a woman has come from other women. Those of us who entered the workforce in the 60′s can tell of horrifying discrimination against female employees but the worst offenders were OTHER WOMEN.
          None of the screechers against Tony Abbott ave anything to offer the nation except the fact that they were educated by the union movement to be good little socialists, do as they’re told and they will get the rewards. The hypocrisy of it all makes my blood boil. Playing the victim of male chauvinism and then labeling decent men misogynists is a cowardly attack by a woman our of her depth. Those who agree with her diatribe are those who have no courage, no stamina and no morals. She is the embodiment of everything that demeans women, not elevates them. Had all the successful women we have played the gender or victim card we wouldn’t have any successful women. They just got on with the job and proved their worth like men have to. We want equality, not patronage.

          I have made an appointment with my local Federal Labor MP and will tell him exactly what I think of the PM, the Labor Party and how ashamed I am of him for voting to retain the reprehensible Speaker, the filthy-minded Peter Slipper.
          Barnaby Joyce so perfectly described how the current female PM appointed the Speaker, Peter Slipper when the Liberal party were disowning him, in words to the following effect: “We were putting the smelly wheelie bin out on the street and Ms Gillard drags not to the side of the house but into the kitchen.”
          And Michelle Grattan, Philip Coorey and others of the handbag-hit squad, most of the MSM and the ABC – it was a stroke of genius. that’s turned out well hasn’t it?

But look ladies, we are Aussies and should support the local charmer, who is nominated in part because he has withstood an Australian upbringing, which we know means he comes out fighting in spite of the sisterhood’s best efforts to tame his manhood.
