YOUR journalists deserve commendations for
showing what the League of Rights and the Press Council stand for. The council's
idea that an opinion piece in effect has to take the form of a debate in the
first instance, is asinine.
Moreover, the idea all opinions need equal
merit and space in a rebuttal by aggrieved parties, is absurd. Both are inimical
to common sense.
